
Young is no stranger to
the Falcon program, having served on the training staff in various
capacities since 1996. Young spent the 2001-02 academic year working
as an assistant athletic trainer at BGSU under a non-student letter
of appointment.
Young has served as the primary athletic trainer for the BGSU men's
basketball program over the past two years, and also has overseen
the training responsibilities for track and field, cross country
and volleyball.
Young began as an athletic training student in the BGSU department
of athletics in 1996, and later served as a graduate assistant
athletic trainer
before
assuming full-time duties. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree
in health education with a minor in athletic training from BGSU
in 1999, and received his Master of Education degree in developmental
kinesiology in August of 2001. Young is certified by the National
Athletic Trainers' Association and licensed by the Ohio Occupational
Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.
