Ali Mann Earns All-District Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), in cooperation with Eastman Kodak Company, announced the finalists today (March 8) for the 2007 Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Bowling Green State University senior forward Ali Mann is one of those finalists. Mann, a native of Chelsea, Mich., is the first Falcon to earn the honor in nearly a decade.

Mann, who on Saturday was named the Mid-American Conference co-Player of the Year, is the first BGSU player to earn all-district accolades from the WBCA since both Charlotta Jones and Sara Puthoff were so honored in 1997-98.

The 52 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA-member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team.
